UC Master Naturalist UC Master Naturalist
Promoting stewardship through science and service. The UC Master Naturalist is a science based environmental education and outreach program designed to increase environmental stewardship and citizen participation in resource conservation throughout California. Through coursework, field training and a variety of service learning opportunities, we intend to increase the level of environmental literacy and enhance participants personal connection with the natural world. The program is in development by the UC Cooperative Extension.

Master Gardener Master Gardener
Master Gardeners are volunteers trained and certified by the University of California Cooperative Extention in the areas of gardening and horticulture. Since 1979, they have been extending information and providing technical assistance to gardeners in California.
