Russian River Water Wise Project

The Mendocino County office of the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) was contracted by MCWA to conduct an estimate of agricultural water demand and assess the needs for irrigation technology and practices and alternative water sources. It is important to note that this effort is part of a larger process directed by MCWA to estimate water demand for all water users countywide. Our aims’ in estimating agricultural water demand are to:

Improve the understanding of agricultural water needs and uses within the Russian River Watershed.

Facilitate agriculture's implementation of improved irrigation and water supply technologies and water source alternatives.
